Sole F85 Treadmill Pros

Although this is a folding treadmill, the equipment feels very solid. None of the parts rattle or shake when it is either set up or down in its more condensed form. This is different than most of the typical folding treadmills.

The Sole Treadmill F85 has a higher horsepower motor than the other models in the same series. This is not particularly noticeable when running, but it does prevent the system from slowing down or lagging when a particularly heavy user is running on the treadmill.

The fans that come standard on the treadmill are somewhat of a step up from other models in the same series. This is a very good thing simply because a bad fan can make the entire experience of running a very uncomfortable one. I like to run in a temperature of my choosing while being able to keep cool or have a cool breeze circulating at the same time, not to be either too hot or be blown away by cold air coming from a fan.

Sole F85 Treadmill Cons

The speed of the system changes slowly. When going between speeds, the treadmill does not physically respond as quickly as I would have expected it to. This is not a huge problem, but if you are going at 7mph and then decide to slow down or get tired, you do not want it to take almost a minute to change speeds.

A bigger issue than the one mentioned above is the fact that with the Sole Treadmill F85, even though it does have a higher horsepower engine than the lower quality models, it also has a higher starting speed. This means that you have to start at a pace of 0.5mph rather than a pace of 0.1mph. This is unfortunate since the lower end Sole treadmills are capable of that.

The weight of the treadmill is an issue, as always. This almost shouldn't be considered a con since it is a given no matter what treadmill you buy. However, it is a problem nonetheless, and should be taken into consideration if you need to move the treadmill to a new location.

Sole F85 Treadmill Reviews

The Sole Treadmill F85 may be a bit over the top for most users. It costs quite a bit more than the normal price range for a treadmill of this type, perhaps simply because of the extra 0.5 horsepower that it has over the Sole Treadmill F83. This extra 0.5 horsepower is not really needed and wouldn't really be missed if it were not included.

Aerobic exercise is an important part of people's lives today. Indoor aerobic exercise is limited in scope and using a treadmill is one of the best ways to get this exercise done indoors. This treadmill is a good choice, but the features that it adds are not really enough to make it worth investing the extra two hundred or so dollars over the lower end models in the Sole treadmill series.
